Protest organizer Medea Benjamin’s family foundation funneled millions to left-wing network

A Fox News Digital investigation found CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin’s family foundation, Arc of Justice, gave nearly $3.2 million to CodePink since 2009 and about $24.6 million total across roughly 1,500 grants to organizations focused on anti-war activism, immigration, and foreign policy issues involving China and Cuba.

• Other major recipients included Global Exchange, Grassroots International, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and Alliance for Global Justice — the latter drawing scrutiny for once fiscally sponsoring a pro-Palestinian group later sanctioned by the Treasury Department.

• Benjamin has since stepped down from the foundation’s board amid leadership changes, and defended the funding as support for anti-war work, denying any foreign government influence after being escorted from a congressional hearing on foreign influence operations this week.

It seems as more and more of the establishment Democrats are on their way out, the new wave of Democratic Socialists, a.k.a communists, are emboldened to proudly display their disdain for the United States.

Our most recent example comes from Claire Valdez, who is the Democratic nominee for New York’s 7th congressional district. Since her district is made up of parts of Brooklyn and Queens, she is sure to win her election in November.

To mark Mexican Independence Day, which is on September 16th, not Cinco de Mayo, Valdez said the following:

“215 years ago, Mexicans fought an empire that demanded our land and our labor. And we won. I’ll carry that fight with me to Congress as New York’s first Mexican American representative.

“And I’m strengthened not just by Mexico’s history but its present. Last month I met comrades in Morena who are standing up to the empires and corporations that have always taken from us – and building a government for the working class. ¡Viva la Independencia, Viva México!”

The post from Valdez, who is originally from Texas and does have Mexican heritage, was alarming for many reasons.

Valdez first uses “we” in the context of Mexicans fighting the Spanish Empire. Not “they” or “Mexicans,” but “we.” Using that “we,” she then says she will use that as an example for how she will act in Congress.

Valdez then uses the communistic phrasing of “comrades” to describe her meeting with representatives who are part of the ruling party in Mexico.

It is one thing to have a soft spot for a nation that your family has ties to, but it is another to proclaim your nationality and “fight” belongs to a country you do not live in while wanting to be part of another nation’s governing body.

Valdez’s decision to flaunt her ties with Morena at this time is especially curious given the U.S. Department of Justice has charged multiple, high level Morena politicians and operatives for colluding and protecting the Sinaloa Cartel. The U.S. State Department has likewise revoked the visas of other Morena public officials, seemingly for similar concerns.

Given how she views herself as a Mexican first, it should be no surprise how she decided to commemorate the United States’ 250th Independence Day:

“Freedom is only possible when we have the conditions for the good life — healthcare, housing, education, and dignity on the job. But the system is rigged and our planet poisoned by billionaires, bosses, and war profiteers.

“This 4th of July we recommit ourselves to remaking it. To fight for liberation from Palestine to Puerto Rico, for a Green New Deal, for the world we deserve.”

It’s like a jumbled mess of progressive causes that forgets it is supposed to be about one topic, but it is not like Valdez can help herself. She is a “good” comrade and will not waste an opportunity to trash the nation she chooses to live in while elevating a foreign government.

She will not be alone in Congress and she certainly won’t be the last.

This past week marked the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month and if you have seen any posts about it on social media, you might have seen something along the lines of, “Happy Hispanic Heritage Month except to MAGA Latinos.”

This has long been a common sentiment for many Latin Americans and Lefty Latinos since, according to them, any MAGA or Republican Latino is a “race traitor” or has “self-hate.” They believe we are betraying our people and want to “white” Americans.

Putting aside some of those declarations incorporate “Latinx” or “Latine” to avoid using “Latino,” this common feeling is one that is rife with hypocrisy.

Latinos in the United States have done a very good job presenting to White Leftists on, “All of us, somos una gran familia, we’re all one big, happy family.” They might have fooled White liberals, but they can’t fool me.

The hypocrisy is that Latinos who are born and raised in the U.S. are expected to have a loyalty to our “motherland” that is not practiced by Latinos in Latin America. Of course, this does not apply to everyone, but there is no denying the bigotry and biases against one each other are very real.

The dirty secret is that the wide range of Latinos and Hispanics are at constant odds with each other when Americans aren’t looking. Don’t believe me? Watch what happens when you call a Mexican a Guatemalan or when you call a Colombian a Venezuelan and vice versa.

The only reason why they are pushing the “we are unified message” now is because they are the flavor of the month to be used by Democrats to criticize President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.

We don’t even have to compare different nationalities when talking about this lack of loyalty and solidarity. Using one example, I see all the time on social media how Mexicans from Mexico City look down on Mexicans from el campo, or the countryside in states like Oaxaca and Chiapas. Those states are generally poorer and have a higher indigenous population.

I saw that disdain when I shared a video of indigenous women from the state of Guerrero who pleaded in a video for President Trump to send the U.S. military to take on the cartels who had forced them from their homes.

Of course, Mexicans are more than able to disagree with pleas for help from the United States, but many of these comments went out of their way to denigrate these women for being indigenous, how these types of “uneducated” people are willing to sell out not for money, but tortillas and beans.

This is a big reason why Latinos such as myself prioritize the United States because this is our home and shrug off insults of being “traitors.” The loyalty the community loves to profess is conditional and goes away the second you think independently.

At the same time, this does not mean we have self-hate or think we’ll be White. We have an appreciation for our heritage, but when it comes to loyalty to country, the United States is number one and I don’t think that should be controversial. We have a duty as a citizen, like any other American, to put the needs of our country first.

“We don’t pick and choose! Congress set those laws and we are enforcing them!” Mullin told Bash. “When you chose to break the law and come to this country illegally, you became a criminal at that point!”

UN General Assembly week brings Iran tensions, Netanyahu security concerns to NYC

The UN General Assembly’s opening week brings major geopolitical stakes to Manhattan, with Trump, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu all scheduled to speak this week amid the ongoing Iran war. Trump is also set to meet Gulf Arab leaders and later host Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington.

• Security concerns are heightened around Netanyahu’s Wednesday-Thursday visit, with the NYPD preparing heavy land, river, and air security following Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s past comments branding Netanyahu a “war criminal” and accusing him of genocide in Gaza — claims the piece characterizes as false and Hamas-aligned talking points.

One week after Charlie Kirk’s memorial at UVU, Erika Kirk is finally going on the offensive.

This isn’t a defamation suit, as most people expected. Instead, it’s a lawsuit against the State of Utah for failing to protect Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, a state school.

Many attorneys are signaling that Erika has an extremely strong case, and in her court documents, we find several bombshells regarding how the police failed to protect Charlie that day.

The first page of the court documents reads: “This document serves as a Notice of Claim against the State of Utah, Utah Valley University, the Utah Valley University Police Department, Jeffrey Long, Astrid Tuminez, and other state actors known and unknown.”

Their argument? That UVU promised Charlie protection and failed. Erika Kirk’s lawyers outlined six ways they failed in total:

1. Failure to understand the significance of Mr. Kirk’s visit to campus, which led to a lack of proper preparation.

Kirk’s lawyers cite a shocking admission from the UVU police: they did not have a security briefing before the event, despite it being one of the largest in their history. Officers also neglected to create a written security plan.

2. Deciding to permit the tour to take place in an outdoor venue without dedicating sufficient security resources to make that venue safe.

UVU is aware of the complex layout of the area where they hosted Charlie on September 10. I have been to the crime scene multiple times, including last week, and the number of positions a sniper could find to take a lethal shot is extensive.

The state will surely argue that TPUSA ultimately decided to hold the event there. This is likely the weakest point in Kirk’s intent to sue.

3. Assigning only six campus police officers to an outdoor event with thousands of attendees, despite requests for additional officers.

Roughly 3,000 people were present at the Charlie Kirk event. That’s one police officer per 500 people, representing only 25% of their total force. It will be difficult for the state to argue that UVU police weren’t negligent on that point, especially given their long-standing partnership with the Orem Police, which could have afforded them more manpower.

4. Failing to exercise its exclusive power to keep Mr. Kirk safe.

The police alone had the power to secure the UVU courtyard. While TPUSA had its own security, places with limited access, like rooftops, were the sole jurisdiction of UVU police. They also had unilateral authority to set up barriers and implement other crowd-control measures.

5. UVU put Mr. Kirk at additional risk by ignoring the specific tip it was given regarding the risk associated with rooftop access.

TPUSA received a message from a student and forwarded it to the police chief in charge:

“Hello Chief Long - we received this message today from the student group.... ‘there is student roof access pretty close to where [Charlie Kirk] will be set up at Utah Valley (The Sorensen Student center has a couple of staircases that go up to the walkways on the roof). If this is true, it would be nice to either have it controlled access or allow one of my guys to be there as well. If Possible.’”

Chief Long assured TPUSA it would be secured… it was not. That roof was the very place Tyler Robinson shot Charlie Kirk from.

6. The UVU Parties’ omissions, actions, and misconduct led to Mr. Kirk’s death.

Erika Kirk’s lawyers concluded that UVU should never hold any meeting or event on campus if they can’t reasonably assume it is safe to do so.

Why drop the intent to sue now? The deadline to do so was one year after Charlie Kirk’s assassination. This notice was filed on September 9th.

Erika Kirk and her legal team needed as much time as possible to conduct this investigation. They also likely didn’t want to jeopardize the planned Charlie Kirk memorial event at UVU, which I attended.

With the case being as strong as it is, and with TPUSA being as busy as they are, I feel confident they will reach a settlement before it goes to trial.

Either way, we’ll keep you updated as more lawsuits are sure to come.

An Axios reporter ambushed radical-left commentator Hasan Piker in a 1-on-1 interview, confronting him with his own striking hypocrisy: criticizing Israel for committing “genocide” while hailing communist China despite their genocide against the Uyghur muslims.

Hasan Piker told Axios he believes Iran, like any sovereign nation, has a right to self-defense, and argued the Middle East would be more stable if Iran possessed nuclear weapons, citing mutually assured destruction as a stabilizing deterrent.

TPS for Salvadorans technically ended this past week, but it has since been extended for an unspecified amount of time. Due to the uncertainty, Gonzalez is among those who will voluntarily leave to avoid being in the country without status. Notably, she will leave after the midterms.

Gonzalez’s story is eye-catching because it shows how lenient we are to foreigners. Here is someone who is not a citizen and whose status infers she will only be here temporarily. Instead, not only has she been here for a long time, but she is involved in our country’s politics to get people who are opposed to closed borders into public office.

No serious nation would allow such a thing.

More than anything, El Salvador’s current state is a prime example as to why TPS should be temporary. Critics point to El Salvador’s weaker economic situation as to why many do not want to return, but that is because the country spent decades reeling from a civil war and gangs stifling economic prosperity. A sluggish economy is not a reason to retain temporary protection for the foreseeable future.
