Summer blend gasoline costs more to make. 3. March to September is the "Turnaround Season" where U. S. Refineries that need repair, shut down for months at a time which reduces supply and that raises the price.
None of these factors that seasonally raise the price of gas WAS MENTIONED BY YOU! In addition, OPEC sets the price of Crude, world-Wide which determines what you pay. The higher pieces right now are because of Trumps war with Iran that are effectiing oil prices which affect gas prices plus any other prices that are affect by oil prices.
