Israeli UN envoy calls for Mamdani’s arrest ahead of Netanyahu visit
Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon accused NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani of “collaborating with the enemy” and called for his arrest, citing outreach from Mamdani’s office to Iran’s UN ambassador, ahead of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s planned Sept. 23 visit for the UN General Assembly.
What Danon said: “If someone should be arrested, it’s Mayor Mamdani for inciting, for actually collaborating with the enemy of the United States.”
Danon criticized Mamdani for encouraging protests against Netanyahu rather than ensuring a “quiet” week for visiting dignitaries, following Mamdani’s earlier pledge to seek a legal path to arrest Netanyahu over alleged war crimes.
Mamdani said his conversations with NYPD have focused on standard security preparations and confirmed he’s arranging meetings with foreign dignitaries during the UN gathering, while declining to say whether he’d meet with President Trump, who is also expected to attend.

Psycho arrested for threatening to kill Ben Shapiro
Korby Allen Strube, 29, was arrested after allegedly posting a series of antisemitic threats on X against Ben Shapiro, including a countdown to Yom Kippur suggesting he would be killed on the Jewish holiday, according to police records.
Strube also allegedly targeted President Trump and the Obamas, and suggested a link between his online activity and Charlie Kirk’s death; the threats were flagged by Shapiro’s security firm before police traced the account to Strube’s home near Topeka, where he admitted to the posts.
Shapiro, who faces the arrest news alongside a CBN interview, said he’s had round-the-clock security for a decade, describing guards accompanying him to his kids’ basketball games and the grocery store as simply “a reality of life.”

Sen. Rand Paul blocked Sen. John Kennedy’s attempt to fast-track legislation requiring AI models to have a “kill switch,” arguing Congress needs more facts before regulating the technology and risks stifling innovation by acting too hastily.

Trump demands lower rates after Fed hikes for first time since 2023
