Secretary of State Marco Rubio relentlessly fact checked an NBC reporter during a tense live interview for several false claims about the conflict with Iran and President Donald Trump’s reason for banning CNN, Politico and MS Now from the White House grounds.
“It sounds like they’re rooting for Iran! They highlight anything Iran says as true and they downplay anything American officials say!” Rubio fired back at the reporter.

Lesbian bar finally lifts mask mandate, helplessly woke patrons are pissed!
Last Ditch Bar and Arts Venue in Greenfield, Massachusetts, lifted its mask mandate on Saturdays in an effort to boost revenue, drawing accusations of ableism from community members, some of whom made hostile comments toward the business online.
The bar had implemented masking specifically to accommodate immunocompromised patrons, but financial struggles — including unpaid bills, remaining owner Jackie Matellian living in her truck, and mounting rent debt — pushed the venue to loosen the policy despite the backlash.
One social media commentor wrote on the bar’s page: "I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immunocompromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue from ablists [sic].”
A subsequent community meeting grew contentious, with attendees raising accusations of bigotry against the mediator. The mask-optional nights have so far failed to meaningfully boost attendance.
Iranian president casts Iran as “victim” in UN speech - Rails against U.S. and Israel
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told the UN General Assembly that Iran has been a victim of U.S. and Israeli “terrorism,” denying his country targets civilians while accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza.
Pezeshkian defended Iran’s nuclear program as purely peaceful, despite IAEA findings that Iran has enriched uranium beyond civilian use and remains in violation of nonproliferation obligations, while framing Iran’s Strait of Hormuz blockade as self-defense against U.S. and Israeli aggression.
He rejected accusations of regional hegemony despite Iran’s extensive backing of militant groups across the Middle East, and closed by criticizing Trump’s UN address, vowing continued “resistance” against sanctions and pressure on Iran.

Mamdani silent on Iranian president’s arrival in NYC following calls for “war criminal” Netanyahu’s arrest
Critics, including journalist Masih Alinejad and ACT for America’s Brigitte Gabriel, accused NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani of damning hypocrisy for repeatedly calling Netanyahu a “war criminal” while staying silent about Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s UN visit.
Alinejad, who survived an alleged Iranian assassination attempt in Brooklyn, urged Mamdani to apply his rhetoric on arresting war criminals to Pezeshkian instead, while Sen. Tom Cotton questioned why Mamdani’s criticism seemingly targets only Israel’s leader.
Israeli UN Ambassador Danny Danon separately urged Mamdani to focus on New York’s problems rather than “engaging with the Iranian regime,” referencing earlier outreach from Mamdani’s office to Iran’s UN ambassador. Mamdani did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
