Record 43% of Americans view socialism positively: Gallup poll
A new Gallup poll found 43% of Americans have a positive view of socialism, surpassing 40% for the first time since 2010, while favorability toward capitalism, free enterprise, and big business has declined.
The shift was driven largely by independents, whose positive view of socialism rose from 37% to 45% year-over-year, and Democrats, where socialism now ties capitalism at 65% favorability after capitalism’s rating dropped 7 points in a year.
Age and gender showed the starkest divides: 57% of adults 18-34 favor socialism over capitalism, versus 65% of those 55+ favoring capitalism. Republicans remain overwhelmingly pro-capitalism, with just 14% viewing socialism positively.

Trump administration launches AI-powered “America.gov” citizen portal
The Trump administration is unveiling America.gov, a new AI-driven website designed to consolidate federal resources into a single, streamlined portal, at a Washington event Tuesday featuring Trump, Vance, Marco Rubio, and other officials.
Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia, the Airbnb co-founder leading the effort, described the tool as a “new front door” for government services, aiming to replace the current maze of agency websites with a simpler, more usable citizen experience.
The event will also feature tech leaders including Elon Musk, Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, and Blue Origin’s Dave Limp, alongside panel discussions on AI, energy, health, space, and agriculture policy.
SCOTUS allows Trump’s SAVE voter verification program ahead of midterms
The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to let the Trump administration implement upgrades to USCIS’s SAVE program, which lets states cross-check voter citizenship status against Social Security and DHS databases, staying a lower court’s block on the changes.
The majority found Congress had authorized DHS to receive citizenship data despite privacy law restrictions elsewhere, reasoning federal law wouldn’t put agencies in the position of violating one statute to comply with another.
Justice Jackson, joined by Sotomayor and Kagan, dissented, arguing the ruling risks disenfranchising eligible voters and that potential harm to lawful voters outweighed any government interest in enforcing the unproven authority to expedite the program.
Cuomo can`t wait to interrupt what he doesn`t want to hear. The Democrats seem to think they have a right to do this. They don`t wait till a person is finished with the issue at hand.
