A third of Democrats say they’d be happy if Trump was assassinated: poll
A Center for Strategic Politics survey of 683 Democratic voters found large majorities favoring Trump’s removal via impeachment (87%) or the 25th Amendment (84%), while many said they’d feel positive about the removal of Trump via a military coup (59%) or Trump dying of natural causes (55%).
Roughly a third of respondents said they’d feel positive if Trump were assassinated at a rally, while 43% said they’d feel negative and a quarter said they’d be neutral.
The poll also found strong Democratic support for prosecuting Trump administration officials over immigration enforcement, the Iran war, and drug-boat strikes, along with backing for expanding the Supreme Court and ending the Senate filibuster — as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has left open the possibility of a third impeachment attempt.

“The president and I are trying to figure out a solution, and I think it’s going to happen. I really do. I believe it’s going to happen,” Trump told reporters.
Zelensky said he hopes the war ends before winter after more than four and a half years of fighting, a timeline Trump echoed, calling it “a big thing before winter.”
Trump said Putin remains open to further talks following their earlier Alaska meeting, expressing uncertainty about a potential trilateral meeting at the Miami G20 but suggesting both Putin and Zelensky want the conflict to end.
