Trump to address global crises in UN speech amid China meeting timing

Trump launches “Trump TV” amid escalating media feud
President Donald Trump launched the “Trump TV” streaming platform Monday night after the five major networks — CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox News — suspended their White House TV pool service in protest of the administration’s ban on CNN, MS NOW, and Politico.
CNN, MS NOW, and Politico sued the administration Monday, arguing the ban violates First Amendment protections; a hearing is set for Wednesday before a judge who previously ruled against a similar Trump-era press restriction.
The dispute escalated further as major newspapers, including The New York Times and Washington Post, held back publishing presidential photos in solidarity, while the White House defended the access restrictions, saying credentialing rules have always favored allies rather than guaranteeing entry for every outlet.
Watchdog urges HHS to probe Planned Parenthood’s transgender treatments
Do No Harm, a medical watchdog group, sent a letter to HHS asking for an investigation into Planned Parenthood affiliates over allegations they may be using improper diagnosis codes to secure insurance reimbursement for cross-sex hormone treatments given to minors.
The group’s analysis, conducted with a data broker, identified roughly 800 patients age 22 and younger nationwide who received 1,100-1,200 hormone prescriptions seemingly tied to gender dysphoria without corresponding proper billing codes for their office visits.
Do No Harm says such “miscoding” could help providers bypass insurance requirements that treatments be “medically necessary,” and points to a related HHS report alleging similar fraudulent billing practices across the broader transgender medical industry, while acknowledging its own investigation has limitations that warrant a fuller federal probe.
“Looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular charged with rape in Massachusetts
Braden Peters, a popular Gen Z influencer known online as Clavicular, faces charges including rape and drugging someone for sexual intercourse in Massachusetts, tied to an alleged May 2025 incident; an arraignment is set for Oct. 14. His representative disputes the reporting’s characterization.
Peters previously faced a civil lawsuit from another influencer, Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, alleging he got her intoxicated as a minor and had non-consensual sex with her in 2025, then later injected her with an unapproved fat-dissolving treatment without consent during a livestream, allegedly suggesting methamphetamine was mixed in.
It’s unclear whether the new criminal charges relate to the civil lawsuit’s allegations. Peters’ attorney has called those claims unproven and said Peters intends to contest them; Peters recently dismissed the lawsuit as an attempt to get his attention.
