Trump said COVID would be gone by Easter; then it was by summer, 2020. Trump finally got "religion" after he caught COVID. He took the shots and started wearing a mask at times, until he took heavy heat about the masking from the "hoaxers" in his base. Trump does get credit for encouraging the companies to get their vaccines into production. He lost credit by making sure that Putin and his cronies had plenty of the shots.
It wasn't Fauci who killed thousands. It was Rand Paul and Maga who killed tens of thousands extra and primed the country for millions of dead the next time a pandemic strikes. Where in that exerpt from the diaries does it indicate Fauci did anything wrong. There wasn't then and there isn't now any proof or even an indication, other than suspicion, that the virus was developed in the lab. Nor is there any explanation as to why patient zero came from 50 miles away from the lab and had never had any connection to it. Nor is there any explanation as to why China would shut down nearly its entire economy for a year to contain it. Nor can anyone explain why the entire american security apparatus can find no evidence it was developed in the lab and so just settled with "well, it might have been."
