Mamdani doubles down calling for arrest of Netenyahu on Theo Von podcast
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani told comedian Theo Von on his podcast that he wishes the U.S. would join the International Criminal Court and enforce its warrants, including the 2024 one against Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged war crimes in Gaza, again calling Netanyahu the “architect of a horrific genocide.”
Mamdani told Von: “If I had my say, the US government would have joined the ICC and honored every single warrant that they’ve issued.” To which Von responded, “F–k yeah.”
Mamdani had previously vowed during his campaign to have Netanyahu arrested if he visited New York, but backed off that pledge in July after finding no legal mechanism to do so, since neither Israel nor the U.S. recognizes ICC jurisdiction.
The comments follow Netanyahu’s UN speech last month criticizing Mamdani and claiming Jews no longer feel safe in the city under his leadership; Mamdani dismissed the remarks as a distraction from accountability.

Flydubai hero Captain Smit Machchhar explained how he took action after an Islamic terrorist, masquerading as his copilot, hijacked his flight, crawling to the cockpit door despite severe stab wounds and unlatching it so passengers could rush in and subdue the attacker, ultimately saving all 174 people aboard the flight.
Machchhar recounted the ordeal in an emotional phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who praised his composure and quick decision-making, saying his actions brought honor to India; Machchhar broke down in tears and apologized for getting emotional.
Machchhar said he recited the Hindu prayer “Hanuman Chalisa” for strength while bleeding on the cockpit floor, and Modi offered personal support going forward, also commending the composure shown by Machchhar’s wife throughout the ordeal.
